Memories of Rhodes 2015

I am back as promised, to share a few photos of another fabulous autumn break we had on the wonderful island of Rhodes. The weather as always was pure delight and we enjoyed lazy sunshine days, sunrises and glorious sunsets, walks and lots of delicious food. We went to the butterfly valley and saw the last of the butterflies, as our visit was a few weeks later this year and most had flown on. We spotted several seawater crabs though which were fun to photograph.

No words are needed. I think that my pictures speak a thousand words............

My card challenge piece today is sea inspired.............
What I would  have given to see her as I swam amongst the fish in the blue Aegean sea?

She is a digi image by Aurora Wings which I won some time ago and had never coloured. I used my Promarkers and highlighted her with Prismacolor pencils.

The background is textured acrylics and I added Ryn's fab rising bubbles stamp. The seahorses and seaweed  leaf dies are by Cheery Lynn.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges;

Simon says stamp Wednesday anything goes
Country View add some texture
That Craft Place anything goes mixed media mixed media anything goes
Artistic inspiration anything goes

Pixie's snippets playground #197 I have used snippets of card to make my seaweed and seahorse die cuts and the backing paper is a snippet of an acrylic masterboard I made.
We love to create anything mixed media goes

The sun is still shining here but it look set to break so I am making the most of it today. The garden beckons and we will probably be able to enjoy lunch out there too. Bliss.

Thanks for visiting and have a great week ahead.

Back soon,

Bye for now,

  2. Wonderful card Jane! It sums up everything we think about the beautiful blue sea perfectly - and it's far too long since I played with Ryn's stamps!

    Great photos of Rhodes, ha, I remember the rickety pathways through the Valley of the Butterflies. It looks as if you found a lovely peaceful haven wherever it was you stayed - great photo of you and your OH too!!
